- HAVE FUN!!!!!
- Eight players, including at least four females constitutes a team.
- There will be at least four women on the field each inning, and a maximum of 10 players (5 outfielders).
- The outfielders are not allowed on the infield dirt before a hit.
- Only ONE infielder is allowed inside the baseline before a hit, but no closer than the pitcher.
- Players may be substituted, male-for-male, female-for-female.
- Ten runs or three outs ends an inning. The last inning is always open. The game will end when a team losing by 15 runs has had five at bats (this is a mercy). A team losing by 20 runs may decide that the game is over at anytime before this, at the LOSING team’s discretion
- Regular season games will be seven innings only.
- The batting order will be followed as listed on the game roster. Any late player will be placed at the end of the batting order at any time.
- Each batting team will use their own pitcher who will pitch from a distance intersecting 1st and 3rd base (+ or – 3 feet).
- The pitcher must wear a helmet. If a pitcher isn’t wearing a helmet, the game will not resume until a helmet is worn.
- Only the ladies may bunt. NO FAKE BUNTS ALLOWED! If the batter squares to bunt and turns and makes a full swing, she will be out.
- The catcher will be responsible for calling fair or foul.
- The pitcher will be responsible for calling safe or out. Any disagreements will be decided on by the two team reps.
- On diamonds 1&2 any ball hit into the backyards ON THE FLY will be considered an out. Any ball bouncing over the fence is considered a double.
- Any ball landing in the bushes or on the road, whether on the fly, bounce or roll, will be considered live. Runners may advance at their own risk with liability to be put out.
- Caught foul balls must exceed the batters height to be considered an out.
- If the pitcher is hit with a batted ball, it is a DEAD BALL. No pitch counted towards the batter.
- If the pitcher deliberately interferes with a batted ball the batter is out.
- A ball overthrown out of play, or into the bench area – all runners are awarded two bases from the time of the throw.
- The fence is considered live with respect to overthrows.
- The runners foot may not leave the base until the batter has contacted the ball. Any runner leading off is OUT.
- There is NO sliding.
- Once the ball has been thrown to the pitcher, from an INFIELDER on the dirt, the play is dead and runners may not advance.
- A commitment line will be drawn 21 feet from home plate. Once a runner crosses this line they may not retreat to third base. (exception: TAGGING UP)
- A line will be drawn horizontally from the top of home plate towards the back stop as a “safe line”. Any runner between this line and the commitment line will be called out when the ball is held by a defensive player in contact with home plate.
- Absolutely no TAGGING between the safe line and the commitment line.
- No metal cleats.
- The home team is responsible for setting up and taking down the diamond. All bases are to be SECURED 55 feet apart.
- All equipment must be kept within the bench area which extends to one pole beyond the bench to the end of the fence directly in front of the bench.
- No COMPOSITE bats.
